Ouija : is a 2014 American supernatural horror-thriller film directed by Stiles White and co-written by White and Juliet Snowden.The film stars Olivia Cooke, Daren Kagasoff, Douglas Smith and Bianca A. It is the first Hasbro property adaptation produced by Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse Productions, as well as Hasbro's first horror film.On January 4, 2011, TheWrap confirmed that Universal was in talks with McG to direct the supernatural action-adventure, with a release date set for 2012. On April 19, 2011 Evan Spiliotopoulos was set to rewrite the script already written by Horowitz & Jefferies.

Ouija : The film focuses on Laine Pete Trevor Sarah, and Isabelle a group of friends trying to contact the spirit of their friend Debbie who had committed suicide by hanging. As Debbie killed herself at home, her family finds that they are unwilling to stay in the house and leave Laine to housesit for the time being. Because of this, Laine and the others decide that they will try to contact Debbie’s spirit via a Ouija board, unaware that this is what led to her death. Laine warns her friends, however, that they must always say goodbye before they finish playing and that they should not use the board in a graveyard.Initially the group believes that they have reached Debbie as they receive the message “hi friend”, only to find that the entity they contacted is extremely malicious. The entity uses the message to terrorize the group and also kills Isabelle. The group determines that the only way to find out what is going on is to try to investigate the house, which results in them discovering that a woman supposedly murdered her child Doris at that same location. Laine and the others manage to locate Doris’s sister Paulina who has been living in an insane asylum for years.
